Issa's Bazaar was founded in 2025. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of spices and herbs directly from the source. We are located in Pierre, SD.

Issa is the name of Jesus in India, Pakistan, and Tibet, a region where they believe he made a pilgrimage, or two, along the Silk Road, the ancient spice route. Our online store will become a full-fledged bazaar, but we are starting with spices and herbs. Many spices are indigenous to South and Southeast Asia. The Americas also gave birth to others, like vanilla, a native of Mexico, and chili peppers, hailing from the Andes. India has always been at the heart of the spice trade. In the north, in Kashmir, fields of saffron blanket the countryside. In the northwest deserts of Rajasthan, cumin and coriander dealers ply their trade. In the south, in Kerala, nutmeg, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise, and turmeric vie for space, alongside vanilla. Further south and east, in the Spice Islands of Indonesia, mace, nutmeg, and cloves have been traded for thousands of years. Vietnam and Sri Lanka are well-known for cinnamon, while Madagascar is home to premier vanilla beans. Bringing these spices to the world's kitchens is our goal.

At Issa's Bazaar, we rely on wholesale importers to bring the product into the US. From Pierre, they are sorted, packaged, sealed, and delivered to your doorstep. We also plan to sell to restaurants and specialty stores, and at farmer's markets in the region.
